LinuxMINT is not only my favorite distro (along with CrunchBang and Fluxbuntu) but the current default desktop is my ALL TIME favorite OS default desktop EVER.

...I just stumbled here while looking for a widescreen desktop for my winXP instal, only to find out YOU'RE THE ARTIST!

And hey, you're right about the job thing- so many people (like me) out of work, fired or not (not in my case) who for them there isn't much available unless they start something on their own. We're hanging on but just barely, with help.

Thanks for whatever it took to get that desktop out there- it really raises the bar on default instals for OS's of any kind.
